    for Academic Student Affairs Ariadni Stogiannidou is Professor in the School of Psychology She began her higher education in Greece and completed it in the US 1980 Diploma of the School of Philosophy Section of Education and Psychology Aistotle U 1982 Ecole des Psychologues Praticiens Paris France 1983 Master of Arts Hofstra University New York USA 1986 Doctor of Philosophy Clinical and School Psychology Hofstra University New York USA She teaches at Aristotle University since 1988 She has also taught as adjunct instructor to the Universities of Crete and Thessaly She has worked as senior researcher at the Centre for Mental health Athens and Thessaloniki She was involved in private practice of psychology with children and adults in qualitative market research and in personnel evaluation from 1986 to 2000 She has served the School of Psychology as substitution representative in the Research Committee and senate regular member of the Senate Director of the Section of developmental and School psychology and Chair of the School of Psychology Her research interests evolve around psychological assessment and psychosocial evaluation as well as interventions for children and families She has co authored two books published approximately 65 papers in Greek and international scientific journals

    of Thessaloniki Day Care Unit P O Box 542 Administration Building Κ Karatheodori 54124 Thessaloniki Greece Τ 30 2310 995130 30 2310 995039 F 30 2310 995039 E The Day Care Unit of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is an education and research unit for preschool aged children 2 5 to 6 years old The Unit provides children of the members of the academic community including children of undergraduate and postgraduate students with education and offers theoretical and practical training to students of the School of Early Childhood Education The Day Care Unit is open Monday to Friday from 7 00am to 19 00pm from September 1st to June 30th If the number of children is sufficient the Unit operates in the summer as well The Unit is also open during Christmas and Easter vacation periods but only for a few days The Day Care Unit is housed in a building next to the Hydraulics Building of the School of Civil Engineering and behind the Ahepa University General Hospital of Thessaloniki The Unit is administered by a five member Administrative Board composed of faculty members of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki It is supervised by a three member Scientific Committee which is composed of faculty members of the School of Early Childhood Education The Director of the Unit preschool teachers and nursery teachers as well as assistants and administrative personnel also offer their services to the Unit The Education Programme is based on the Cross Thematic Curriculum Framework for Compulsory Education known in Greek by the acronym DEPPS and supervised by the Scientific Committee It focuses on the emotional mental physical and social development of children applying contemporary teaching approaches Classes start daily at 8 30am and finish at 16 00pm The programme includes flexible zone activities games in the

    Experimental School caters for all levels of education nursery primary lower secondary and upper secondary education The Model Experimental School was founded in 1934 The first supervisor of the school was Alexandros Delmouzos one of the most important teacher educators in Greece and the first head of the school was Vassilis Tatakis one of the greatest professors at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Since it was founded many important teachers have worked at the Model Experimental School Giorgos Themelis Ioannis Xirotitis Poliklitos Regos Sarantos Pavleas Constantinos Botsoglou Nikos Paralis to name just a few The school was housed in a building designed by the great architect Dimitris Pikionis a building whose aesthetics still attract the interest of architects Today the Model Experimental School aims to meet the needs and demands of contemporary society and continue its tradition of excellence Address Model Experimental School of the University of Thessaloniki 1 Delmouzou Street 54631 Thessaloniki T 30 2130 277809 E mail lik aei thess thess sch gr URL http piramatiko web auth gr 1st 12 Teacher Model Experimental Primary School School of Primary Education Aristotle University of Thessaloniki The Education Academy of Thessaloniki was housed in the same area the 1st Model Experimental Primary School is located today The Education Academy was founded in 1933 pursuant to law no 5802 Government Gazette 286 29 9 1933 and with a short break between 1971 and 1974 was open until 1990 when it merged with the Education Academy of Florina As of July 1st 1991 all education academies in Greece are abolished pursuant to law no 1268 Government Gazette 87 Α and the presidential decree 24 1991 GG 9 Α thus their archives have been transferred to and the building facilities became part of the School of Primary Education SPE of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki AUTh Teacher training was provided by the Model Experimental Primary Schools of Thessaloniki 2 six teacher schools 1 three teacher school and 1 one teacher school which continued to operate when the Education Academy of Thessaloniki was shut down Pursuant to the ministerial decision 27 148 C1 160 Government Gazette 96 14 2 1995 all model primary schools turned into experimental primary schools The two six teacher schools as well as the three teacher school continued to operate These schools were the 1st Experimental Primary School SPE AUTh the 2nd Experimental Primary School SPE AUTh and the three teacher Experimental Primary School SPE AUTh After quite a few years and pursuant to the ministerial decision 71338 D4 Government Gazette 1573 27 6 2011 the three experimental schools merged into one that is the 1st 12 teacher Experimental Primary School SPE AUTh The new head of the school Constantinos Kobos who was appointed pursuant to the ministerial decision 94132 a D1 submitted the relevant documents to the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs Culture and Sports which designated the school as one of the 15 model experimental primary schools in Greece in compliance with the ministerial decision 122084 D4
