    programs Contact details for International Mobility International Relations Office IRO Tel 30 22510 36171 3 fax 30 22510 36019 e mail relations aegean gr 2 Approval Monitoring of Inter Institutional Agreements for Mobility The Departmental Coordinator DC introduces new Bilateral Agreements BAs and requests approval from the Faculty of the Department The choice of partners is based on academic proximity disciplinary relevance services to the students the award of Erasmus University Charter and language issues The Department of International Academic Programs DIAP undertakes the administrative processing communication with the Institutional partner and update of the webpage The BAs cover student academic staff and administrative personnel mobility The Placement Training Agreement is approved by the DC and signed by the student the receiving institution and the DC Monitoring and supervision of the agreement is carried out by the DC and the DIAP Issues of academic cooperation and mobility at an international level are determined by the Cooperation Agreements CAs of the UAegean which have been approved by the Senate and signed by the Rector Academic issues are determined by the Studies Administration and send for approval to the Ministry of Education The implementation and monitoring for CAs is carried out by the Rector and the Department of International Relations whereas the Studies Administration and the relevant Academic Department are responsible for studies issues Information Diffusion The University of the Aegean ensures direct access to information about all available programs for all students faculty or administration personnel who are interested in participating This is accomplished by organizing meetings workshops the constant updating of the website by close contact with groups of students by publishing leaflets and related material Furthermore the Erasmus Office contacts students by email while a Facebook page is also available so that important announcements about deadlines are disseminated Any student faculty awards are made public via articles and emails a memory book is also held and whenever possible a staff training week is organized Finally past students are invited to share their success stories with candidate mobility students The Department of International Academic Programs DIAP is continuously updating all members of UAegean students faculty personnel on mobility programs by emails meetings workshops or webpage updates 3 Mentoring and support arrangements for incoming mobile participants and outgoing students for study and traineeships The UAegean takes all necessary actions to ensure that all mobile participants receive full support and equal treatment from all of its services For both incoming and outgoing Erasmus students advisory support is provided by the Erasmus Office and the Departmental Coordinator DC of each Department Incoming students receive thorough information and support to familiarize themselves with the hosting department accommodation and catering issues as well as the acquisition of student card Furthermore welcoming meetings workshops are organized and participation to cultural student events is highly encouraged Outgoing students are provided with a catalogue of candidate host institutions for Placement programs as well as information about the hosting country services such as healthcare insurance or language lessons for
